Application forms are invited in the prescribed format as enclosed (in a good quality fullscape paper) from citizens of India for selection on following posts under Medical, Health & Family Welfare Department, Government of Uttarakhand, total number of vacancies may increase or decrease. Candidate must mention the name of the applied post and Category Code on the cover of envelope. Candidate who wants to apply for more than one post shall fill separate application forms for each post and send it to the Commission in separate envelopes. (V) Educational Qualification – (a) Essential -

1. For the post of Medical Officer General sub-cadre (Male) & (Female), a candidate must have MB.B.S. degree or an equivalent degree of a University recognized by the Medical Council of India.

  1. For the post of Medical Officer Specialist sub-cadre the minimum academic qualification shall be degree / diploma or equivalent qualification recognized under Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 in addition to M.B.B.S. as is shown in column 3 for designation shown in column 2 -

3 Prior to appointment in service, registration with the Uttarakhand Medical Council is mandatory.

(b) Preferential – All other things being equal for direct recruitment to the post of Medical Officers other than Specialist

Medical Officers, preference will be given to those candidates who have -

1 Served in the Territorial Army for a minimum period of two years, or,

.2. Obtained a ‘B’ certificate of National Cadet Corps.

2. Dental Surgeon (Ordinary Grade) -

(I) Category Code – Sewa-01/08

(II) Number of Posts -25(10 seats are reserved for S.C, 01 for ST. and 08 for O.B.C. candidates of Uttarakhand)

(III) Pay Scale – Rs. 8000/- to 13,500/-

(IV) Nature of Post – Gazetted/Contributory pension/Temporany, likely to continue in future.

(V) Educational Qualification -

(a) Essential – For the post of Dental Surgeon (Ordinary Grade), a candidate must have B.D.S. (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) degree from a recognized University or an equivalent qualification recognized by Indian Dental Council.

(b) Preferential – A candidate who has :-

I Served in the Territorial Army for a minimum period of two years, or,

II. Obtained a ‘B’ certificate of National Cadet Corps, shall, other things being equal, be given preference in the matter of direct recruitment.
