3^rd COUNSELLING/OPEN SELECTION TO BE HELD ON 28.07.2009

Selection for filling up the following Postgraduate Seats for July,2009 session which remained vacant after 2^nd counselling will be held on 28.07.2009 at 9.30 am.

Besides the above seats, if any regular seats have fallen vacant after 2nd counselling till afternoon of 23rd July. 2009 (July session 2009 only) due to resignation or leaving of the course by any candidate, these seats will also be filled up during the 3rd counselling/open selection against the concerned category candidates. The status of these vacant seats will be available only on 24th July, 2009 onwards and will be put up on the Notice Board at AIMS, Academic Section as well as All MS website i.e www.aiims.ac.in and www.aiims.edu. In case of non-availability of ST candidates, the seat reserved for ST shall be made available to the SC. If ST/SC candidates are not available, then the seats shall be made available to the general category. Similarly, in case of OBC seat remains vacant after calling all eligible OBC candidates then these seats shall be made available to the general category. A candidate who has opted for a confirmed seat either in 1st or 2nd counselling but desires another subject in the 3rd counselling/open selection may also atiend the counselling on 28.7.2009. A candidate should resign from the confirmed seat during the counselling without penalty to obtain another seat of his/her choice. The seats will be offered only to those candidates who are physically present during the 3rd counselling / open selection strictly according to merit obtained in the concerned categories. No separate communication will be sent to candidates in this regard.

All those candidates who have secured not less than 50% marks in the PG entrance

examination of the Institute held on 10th May, 2009 and have got a confirmed seat, irrespective of their rank in the entrance examination and who are interested in these subjects will be eligible. The list of candidates who have secured 50% or above marks is available on AIIMS website www.aiims.ac.in and www.aiims.edu and displayed on Notice Board of Examination Section, AIIMS. They are to report to Academic Section on the above mentioned date & time alongwith their all Original Certificates viz. Date of Birth, Proof of belonging to SC/ST/OBC, MBBS Marks Sheets (including separate mark sheetforeach of the professional examinations) / Degree, Internship Completion Certificate, Permanent Medical Registration Certificate etc., (alongwith a set of attested copies of all certificates). Please note that the candidates without original certificates mil not be allowed to attend the 3rd counselling / open selection. No candidate will be allowed to report after 11.00 a.m. on 2B.7.2009. The allocation of seats will be made strictly as per rank/merit of candidates in the entrance examination and on the terms and conditions as mentioned in the Prospectus. The selected candidates are required to join immediately after they are found medically fit. No extension under any circumstances will be granted.
